Do you like dessert?  Do you like snacks?  How about desserts for your snack?

Sorry, I had to do that.  Because these certified organic, paleo, vegan, soy and gluten-free macaroons are worth it.

Rickaroons, a small company from San Diego, knows what to do when it comes to producing a high-quality, great-tasting snack/dessert/whatever-you-want-it-to-be.

There are 5 deliciously healthy flavors:  Rick-or-Treat, Chocolate Blonde, Megaroon, Mocha, and Icy Brunette.  Being a chocolate addict and coconut lover, I was more than happy to write this review!

They are listed by flavor below in the order I tried them.  Hopefully my thoughts will help you decide which to get (or convince you to buy them ALL!)

Rick-or-Treat

This name is so cute, but the flavor is otherwise known as "pumpkin spice & chocolate."

Okay, I love pumpkin spice just as much as the next basic white girl.

But I was honestly kind of skeptical when I got one of these new-flavored Rickaroons in the mail because, well, mixing pumpkin spice just kind of seemed over the top to me.

I love each flavor separately, but I thought maybe they'd detract from one another once combined.

I've never been happier to be wrong.

This flavor is bangin'.  It's like Rick took the two biggest cravings ever and mashed them together to create the best mood-appeasing treat possible.  Fall never tasted so good!

Chocolate Blonde

After tearing into the sample box I was sent, I figured I'd start off with this one because who doesn't love a good blondie?!  It tasted like chocolate chip cookie dough... no lie.

The coconut automatically gives off a cooler taste and reminded me of when my mom would make cookies while I was at school and save some dough in the fridge for when I got home.

Needless to say, I'm really really glad this was the flavor that first got me hooked.

Megaroon

This was definitely the richest of the flavors and I absolutely loved it.

There is an extra little crunch from the chia seeds and that helps to round out the flavor even more.  Though it is still sweet, there is a fullness in this that hints at some savory rhythms on top of the coconut.

I really can't explain it better.  I would definitely recommend this one as an energy-boosting snack or pre-workout!

Mocha

You can just smell the fresh-ground coffee in this baby.  It isn't overwhelming and again balances extremely well with the coconut base.

As much as I love coffee, I"m very much a "I'll take the darkest roast as black and strong as it can be" sort of coffee drinker... unless it's Bulletproof Coffee, of course.

So I generally don't like coffee-flavored sweets very much.  However, this one surprised me and I liked it a lot!

And hey, this paired with some of that butter coffee to kick-start your morning sounds just perfect... hint hint!

Mint To Be

Chocolate mint will always have a special place in my heart because it reminds me of mint chocolate chip blue bell on hot summer nights.

This mint is not too strong and it is clear that the extract used is a quality one because there is no alcohol aftertaste (you start to notice that when you switch to alcohol-free extracts!)

For you lovers of Thin Mints, snag a pack of these in lieu of those Girl Scout cookies (sorry kids) and reap the joyous benefits!
